The company started in November 1995, in Timisoara, with the nation-wide distribution of memory modules, becoming in a very short period of time the leader of the Romanian memory-modules market. The experience gained in this field was extended in such a manner that today, LASTING reprezents a group of companies with three major business directions: distribution, software development, IT solutions (in Timisoara and Bucharest).

In 2000 a new company, LASTING Software emerged, coinciding with the opening of the Bucharest office which offers the commercial and technical support for the South-East area of the country.
The turnover of the group for 2007 reached 20 mil. EURO, with an expected growth to 25 mil. EURO for this year, while the number of employes exceded 130 at the end of 2007.

The strategy adopted by the IT Solutions department has as its core the ideea of of an integrated IT infrastructure concept. Thus, clients are addresed not just by the equipments or various components, but with complete solutions to fit their requests and needs.

The strategic differentiating element is reprezented by ERP, where the experience gained over years and the partnerships with strong companies, as the world market leader, SAP, stand at the basis of our succes. This approach assured for LASTING the dominant position on the solution market over the western part of Romania.

The experience related to ERP dates back to 1998 when a first ERP, for internal use, was developed, on a Magic platform. After switching to Scala, in 2001, a package of reports and web applications based on this solution - Scala External Reports - was developed. The year 2003 marked an intensification of the presence on the ERP-solutions market, through entering a partnership with SIVECO Romania. Thus, the IT Solutions Timisoara department took over the implementation in various significat projects in the western part of Romania and also aquired new customers for this solution.

In 2004, for a better coverage of the market, abas business software was added to the ERP-portofolio.
Since 2005, SAP, the world leading ERP-solution, stands at the core of LASTING's offer in the ERP domain.
Since 1997, LASTING System became a presence on the Internet market. Today we offer a complete line of high quality, high performance Internet and Intranet solutions, allowing clients to increase their productivity and profitability through Internet communications. Products and services offered: connectivity services (dial-up, leased lines, satellite solutions), IP-VPN (Virtual Private Network) - secure platforms for business communications, housing and web hosting services, web sites creation, e-commerce solutions - virtual shop.

As one of the significant VAD distributors on the Romanian market, the distribution department is oriented towards an efficient coverage of the market, to the enlargement of the product portfolio and assuring a professional and fast service.The strong points of the department are the good IT image on the Romanian IT market, the national network of partners and the partnerships with strong IT vendors.

The portofolio, divided into two main categories, VAD products and trade desk products, according to the two main markets (national distribution network and partners) spans over all the range of IT products, from usual peripherals, components and systems to storage or networking equipment.A special attention is dedicated to the strategic areas of VAD distribution: business critical computing, networking and communication, printing and imaging.

The most significant reprezented brands are: Aopen, Belinea (Maxdata), Dataram, Dell, D-LINK, EIZO, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Gericom, Infineon, Iwill, Mitsumi, Mustek, Packeteer, TakeMS, TallyGenicom, Tandberg, Targus; for many of those brands, LASTING is the sole reprezentative on the Romanian market.
