Fire-Alarm and Extinguishing System for Lampertz Security Rooms

No fire without oxigen !

For a fire to ignite and persist, three ingredients must be present: fuel, heat and oxygen.extinguishing
If one of these factors is taken away from the fire, it will be extinguished. Since, for IT availability reasons, water may not be used for extinguishing purposes, the room is flooded with extinguishing gas so that the fire can be extinguished quickly and without residue.

Gas extinguishing technology basically offers the following advantages:

  • Extinguishing without residue
  • Room, object and equipment protection without water damage
  • Quick resumption of the processes after the extinguishing procedure
  • Fire damage is limited to the system component responsible for causing it.

Extinguishing gas cannot conduct electricity Thus, there is no danger to persons through electrical equipment and no danger of short circuiting during and after the extinguishing process.

Lampertz predominantly works with Novec KD1230 extinguishing gases and nitrogen.
Other extinguishing gases such as Inergen are available.

Method of operation:

Once a fire has been detected by the automatic alarm systems (1) or if the manual alarm (2) has been triggered, the alarm equipment (4 acoustic and 5 optical) are triggered via the central fire alarm system (3). Once a specific delay time (10 seconds) has elapsed, the bottle containing the extinguishing agent (6) is opened electrically and the extinguishing gas flows via extinguishing nozzles ( ) into the room.

The compact extinguishing system with Novec 1230 extinguishing agent unites all of the components in a small space.
