Securiton - Fire Alarm Systems
Securiton - welcome to the safe side !
Whether your fire protection concept calls for just a few modules or a full-blown system, Securiton can provide you with expert advice and custom solutions. The SecuriPro® modular fire alarm system is a good example of this: it combines SecuriStar® fire detectors with other components to form a powerful system that's outstandingly reliable, convenient and cost-effective.
SecuriPro® fire alarm systems can in turn be integrated into an overarching system that ensures total security by combining burglary and fire alarm systems, access control, video surveillance and other elements. And finally, the excellent availability of Securiton's service network will guarantee your peace of mind over the long term.
An automatic fire alarm system is a reliable means of detecting the outbreak of a fire without the need for human detection; it warns any persons at risk, and mobilises the fire-fighting forces. The system consists of fire detectors, the fire alarm control panel, the power supply, the alarm unit and the connecting lines. The function of the individual components is as follows:
- Within the monitored area, automatic fire detectors permanently detect the respective fire phenomena and convert them into an electrical signal. This signal is recorded by the fire alarm control panel, evaluated and, where appropriate, displayed both visually and acoustically as a fire alarm.
- Manual call points (emergency buttons) are used for triggering manual alarms.
- Local alarms are triggered to give early warning to all people present.
- The fire alarm is forwarded to a remote operating and control centre using a transmission unit. The fire-fighting measures are then initiated by the control centre (fire brigade).
- Two independent power sources are required for the electricity supply. One of the two sources is always the mains while the other consists of a backup battery.
- Faults are signalled visually and acoustically in the fire alarm control panel and forwarded to a remote monitoring control centre using a transmission unit. Troubleshooting is then initiated by the control centre.
- The fire alarm control panel is designed so that different automatic fire control systems can be triggered as required (e.g. stationary extinguishing systems, air conditioning and ventilation systems, fire rated doors, lift installations).
Fire detection for special applications
In cases where the use of conventional point detectors becomes difficult for practical, technical or aesthetic reasons, special fire alarm applications are the optimum solution. The two main product groups are aspiration smoke detectors and linear heat detectors. The precise mode of operation of these systems can be found under the product descriptions.
Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panel SFP 512 The SFP 512 is a microprocessor controlled compact modular control unit for fire detection systems. Easy to use and to install, this panel represents one of the best solutions to detect a fire in small installations.
Securiton's conventional fire alarm control panel SFP 512 is designed for small installations of fire detection systems. The SFP 512 fire alarm control panel complies with the EN 54-2, EN 54-4, and EN 12094-1 standards.
The basic unit features four conventional detection lines and a full fire alarm control panel functionality.
The detection zones are expanded to eight or twelve zones, by connecting one or two additional four-zone detection module to the basic SFP 512 unit. Alternatively, the SFP 512 can drive one extinguishing zone with a maximum of eight detection zones at the same time or two extinguishing zones with a maximum of four detection zones at the same time.
The SFP 512 fire alarm control panel is able to run Securiton's conventional detectors. Each line can monitor up to 32 conventional detectors per line. In case of fire alarm, the 1st and 2nd alarm can be distinguished within one detection zone and separately indicated. The relay output modules can be used to activate or deactivate power signals. The SFP 512 fire alarm control panel is available with different front panel operation languages. The technical documentation is included on a CD-ROM in various languages.
