Lampertz - Uninterruptible Power Supply

In addition to the range of products available, the UPS units now also make redundant systems possible for extending existing computer centres. Using battery packs, the UPS guarantees the necessary power supply for service, storage and network units, should there be a disruption in power.

The double-converter technology protects the IT infrastructure against hardware damage, loss of data and operational downtimes created by power disruptions, voltage peaks or similar malfunctions. The terminal equipment is supplied with a constant quality of energy generated by batteries / transformers. The software included as standard in the scope of supply allows both the operating status to be displayed and systems and servers to be shut down fully automatically.

The power is continually supplied via the UPS - even during normal operation. The battery is simultaneously recharged in the mains. Should there be a power failure or malfunction, the power inverter is supplied with power from the rechargeable battery and the consumer is supplied with power without a change-over time, as in the case with line-interactive UPS systems. The UPS protects against power malfunctions such as voltage peeks, over and undervoltage, and noise.

Lampertz offers you 3 different types of UPS systems:

  • 19" plug-in systems PMC (Power Modular Concept), single phase
  • Floor-mounted units PCC (Power Compact Concept), three phase
  • 19" plug-in systems PMC (Power Modular Concept), three phase

PMC - Power Modular Concept, single phase

Lampertz is offering its own uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions. This means that an additional infrastructure is now integrated in the "operationally-secure computer centre" with proven Lampertz experience.

High-quality double transformer technology with perfect sinusoidal output voltage
Autonomy time may be extended with battery expansion
Software compatibility in all conventional operating systems in scope of supply (for network administration and remote monitoring)

Advantages:lampertz_ups

  • Individually-configurable autonomous times
  • Highest quality class
  • Perfect sinus voltage
  • No Switch-over time
  • Inclusive software

The PMC provides innovative protection against voltage problems. The combination of modularity (scalability and redundancy) and the decentralised parallel architecture (DPA) guarantees a high degree of availability for critical applications.

Intelligent battery management: The integral charging control checks the readiness of the battery units and ensures constant system availability. The battery remains protected from overcharging or exhaustive discharge.
No constant polling of the servers during shut-down for reducing the system load.

The Lampertz UPS single phase is available in the following models:

  • 1kVA / 700 Watt
  • 1,5 kVA / 1050 Watt
  • 2 kVA / 1400 Watt
  • 3 kVA / 2100 Watt

PMC - Power Modular Concept, three-phase

The Lampertz PCC is impressive thanks to its extremely good technical attributes and, as a conventional UPS system, thanks to its compact design and its direct and uncomplicated use. Flexible and powerful, it is suitable for use in computer centres and large computer networks.

Due to its high efficiency of 98% (eco. mode), its latest technology and high overload capability, the Lampertz PCC is ideal for every critical application. Changes to the input parameters, such as the voltage and frequency, have no effect on the output values.lampertz_ups

The automatic by-pass only becomes active during extreme overloads and ensures safe operation. Simple service is also achieved through the manual by-pass system. A battery test is performed periodically, thus ensuring that the battery operates reliably.

Advantages:

  • Large input voltage range
  • Automatic battery test
  • High effi ciency level
  • Multilingual graphics display
  • Compact measurements

The Lampertz UPS software is included in the systems‘ scope of supply. The software works in the background and performs event-driven communication with the Lampertz UPS via a serial interface. Once a malfunction is detected, the systems can be automatically shut down with a freely-confi gurable shut-down routine.

"Remote control command" is a module which executes a command on a remote system and is similar to the remote shell programme well known in the Unix world (RSH).

PMC modules
Every individual UPS module contains a rectifier/booster, inverter, a static bypass and a separate CPU which monitors and controls all parts and coordinates parallel communication with the other modules. The modules are available in the output sizes 10, 20, 30 and 40 kVA and are prepared for easy 482.6 mm (19‘‘) integration into the Rittal TS 8 UPS enclosure. The weight of the modules ranges from 40 kg (10/20 kVA) to 59 kg (40 kVA). In conjunction with the batteries, a diverse range of combinations may be quickly and easily compiled. Parallel connection occurs within the enclosure, thus facilitating a space-saving configuration of the UPS system.

The redundant UPS concept
Redundancy means that at least two or more modules always evenly share the critical load. f the UPS module fails, the other one takes on the entire connected load without interruption.
This sets new availability standards when it comes to protecting the server environment. It is possible to increase capacity so that the system can deal with a greater load than a single unit.

The modular UPS concept
The Rittal Modular Power Concept (PMC) allows easy adaptation to customer-specific requirements, thanks to its modular character, combined with investment security and a high level of availability.

The scaleable UPS concept
Individual modules may be exchanged, leading to fast response times in case of a malfunction plus enhanced availability. Each UPS module operates independently with its own intelligence. Can be retrofitted during operation.

The modular concept allows customers to invest as their business expands, and avoids unnecessary electrical installation.
The challenges faced by your infrastructure not only include the current circumstances, but also in particular the requirements of the future. Thanks to the scalable concept, your installation is easily extended.

Advantages:

  • Performance, modularity and redundancy
  • Scalability and retrofitting possible while the equipment is running
  • High availability, independent and with own intelligence
  • Monitoring using optional SNMP adapters
  • Service-friendly thanks to short reaction times
  • Can be changed thanks to its modular construction
  • Can be individually configured to suit the customer requirements
