The PRIMEPOWER 2500 offers the scalability of up to 64 processors in the basic system cabinet, or up to 128
processors in the extended system cabinet. Options include one to four I/O
cabinets for up to 32 PCI/disk boxes. Dynamic reconfiguration and extended partitioning with up to 15 independent, failsafe and hardware isolated partitions provide the superior business continuity and resource optimization for changing IT workloads. Featuring complete hardware redundancy, all essential components are hot swappable/pluggable, virtually eliminating costly downtime. With its powerful SPARC64 processors, large main memory capacities (up to 64 GB per system board) and high-speed crossbar, the PRIMEPOWER 2500 is a match for the highest system and application throughput challenges.
