CentricStor Virtual Tape Controller Entry to virtual tape processing
CentricStor VTC (Virtual Tape Controller) is an inexpensive platform for the entry in virtual tape technology. CentricStor VTC permits smaller enterprises or branches to bring their tape operations up to date irrespective of tape formats or tape technology. Based on the compatibility of all CentricStor platforms CentricStor VTC can also be used in case of disaster as a second recovery system or for exchange of tape media in CentricStor format. CentricStor VTC can be installed in a 19” rack requiring 4 U and is configurable together with tape libraries like SL 500 or Scalar i500 or to a complete solution.
