Ultra compact and highly scaleable LTO tape library with SCSI, SAS and FibreChannel interface
The second generation of the FibreCAT TX24 emphasizes multiple green characteristics. Besides saving data on tape, the more energy-efficient way to store data, the new systems are optimized for low power consumption when in operation, the use of environmentally friendly materials, as well as high and easy scalability.
The other highlight of the new systems is, that they are equipped with SAS interfaces, the future-proof standard for high data transfer rates and trouble-free transmission. Depending on the model there is also a SCSI or FibreChannel interface available. Moreover one year on-site service and a full backup software bundle are included in the price.
The FibreCAT TX24 S2 (2U) is able to store a maximum capacity of 38.4 TB (compressed) and is equipped with two drives for LTO-3 or LTO-4.

The FibreCAT TX24 supports either one or two LTO-2/LTO-3 drives (half height) or one LTO-3/LTO-4 drive (full height). It offers space for up to an impressive 38.4TB. Each FibreCAT TX24 contains physically 24 media slots. The entry configuration supports 12 slots.  The remaining 12 can be activated via soft key license short term.
With two drives and a backup software like NetWorker the FibreCAT TX24 supports media cloning, i.e. a backup is written to two tapes. One of those tapes is normally exported immediately to increase data protection. The FibreCAT TX24 is offering a very affordable entry into media cloning. The FibreCAT TX24 will be connected to a host using SCSI or FibreChannel, depending on the model. The system features an import/export slot, a build-in barcode reader and is WORM-ready. Moreover, one year onsite service is included. The FibreCAT TX24 is great for unattended backup, reducing the risk of manual errors dramatically. Featuring 24 slots, it could cover 24 working days, more than a month of unattended backup. This makes the FibreCAT TX24 the ideal tape library for small and medium sized enterprises and branch offices.
